Decision made

Dear MOC members we just want you to know that we have valued your experiences and enjoyed meeting some of you, but we have decided to give up the Winter getaways and stay home. This will be our 1st winter in Wis. in 14 years. Health problems have become a real issue. I have posted the 5th wheel for sale. I will be checking in from time to time just to say hello.

John and Marianne,
We are sorry to hear of your decision to give up the RVing lifestyle. But we are beginning to learn (the hard way) of the many health problems that can come with time.

I hope the WI winters do not get the best of you. That is way too cold for us!

We look forward to your checking from time to time.

Good luck and see you on down the road.

Dennis and Mary Kay

John & Marianne, We know that is a tough decision and as others have said, one we will all face someday. We trust you enjoyed your days on the road and wish you continued enjoyment of life. Stay warm up there over the winter months. Having spent 14 winters in Anchorage, Alaska, we often remarked how it was actually colder along the northern tier states than it was in Anchorage. Good luck and God speed.....

Best of luck with your new lifestyle. Every time one door closes, another opens. As has been said, everyone will face that decision someday. Good luck with your future endeavors.

Ditto what everyone has said here, specially rames14's post, specially that door closing stuff. It is soooo true.

God Speed

Well it ain't gonna happen to us. I refuse to let it happen. I plan on living in my Monty forever and a day. It wouldn't be fair to all these MOCers, old and new, for us to stop traveling and not to attend every MOC rally we can. If for no other reason than to point out their faults, which of course I have none. What would you all do if I wasn't around for the WHINE and Cheese events? What would you do if I weren't around to say "IMHO _______". You'd all be lost without me.
As far as one door closing and another door opening. That door trying to close has been welded open and the other door has 24 HD padlocks on it.

OK OK, all kidding aside, I want to wish you, John & Marianne, the very best. I know your decision was a tough one and one that I really do refuse to face at this point in my life but I do realize there comes a time where we just gotta do what we just gotta do.
Good Luck and keep in touch.

HAHA - WHAT?! Glenn said he was just kidding. I was believing everything he said, as I always do, until he said he was kidding.

When it's time for my decision to drop anchor, I know I will make the right one at the right time, because my wife will make it for us.

Rest assured for John and Marianne, their decision is theirs and well-respected that they are able to make the best of it. We wish them the best and look forward to their online visits and their continued contributions of knowledge and experience. But mostly I shall wish them good health.
