adding air to the rear inside tires?
On my new dually, it has metal valve stems, bent to face inside, on the outside rear tires and on the inside, it has a plastic extender on the valve stem. The tool I usually fill tires with is one of those slightly angled head ones that allows you to pull it onto the stems that point backwards, or push it onto stems that point out. However, for the inside tires I have to put the tool though a small hole in the outside wheel to reach the inside tire. It's hit or miss if I make a tight seal so the built-in gauge will read properly while I'm fill the tire. I tried a Milton Industries s516 Inflator Gage because it has a straight on and angles head, but it will not work on the plastic extender of the inside wheel and it seems to have threads that will not let it slide onto metal valve stems.
Anyone have a solution?

You need to install valve extenders; mine are 8 inch stainless steel and attach to the outer rim which makes it easy with any air chuck. Got mine on Amazon.com

I've seen those, but I was concerned that the extra weight would cause a balance problem. Did you have to re-balance after installation?

No, I put on immediately after the truck purchase Nov 11, and tire wear/ride is normal. Most all of my dually buddies use them.

Jim- I installed these long stems on inside wheels then installed a stabilizer on outside rim to hold in place. These guys are great to deal with. Tell Larry you only need two long stems for inside rims.

Not sure if these would work for me as my wheels have the stems with the battery and TPMS sensor all connected internal to the tire.

Hi Jim,
Been there. First remove rear wheels and re-install 180 degrees out. The holes in the Alcoa are too small for both stems.
While the wheels are off, remove the plastic extender on the inside steel and cap off the outside Alcoa wheel. Install a fill thru cap. Any large truck tire shop will probably either have them in the shop or under the counter. They look like this.

The straight on air gauge will do the inside and the angle will fit the Alcoa wheels. I put caps on all 6 stems.
