Pin Box

I replaced my 2021 3120RL Lippert Roto -flex pin box that came on the unit. I now have said pin box sitting in my garage. Is there any value for this pin box or should I dump it? Thanks

I’ve been trying to sell a slider hitch for over two years. Don’t need it now that I’ve got a long box. I’ve gotten a couple of low ball offers from folks that I think just wanted it for resale. But I’ve gotten no reasonable offers even though the asking price is 50% below the cost of a new slider hitch.

I’d list your pin box for 6-8 months and if no takers, perhaps a recycler will give you a few bucks for it. It would be great if you could keep it out of the landfill, which is what I’m trying to do.

I put mine in the shed. I figured if I ever sell the trailer in the future, I'm going to take the Goosebox off and put the fifth wheel pin box back on. It's easier to market the Goosebox than the rotoflex.

Put on offer up, I sold my Curt hitch in 20 minutes. All I wanted to do was get ride of it and sold it for 200 bucks. It’s out of my hair and don’t have to store it.

The last two years that we had an actual national Rally many folks dumped the Roto flex for a Morryde pinbox. Quite a few ended up in the trash.

Put a low buck price on it. We've been 'cleaning house' in anticipation to downsizing in the fall. Amazing what people buy at what they see as 'bargain' prices, whether they can use it or not.

My 2012 3585SA had a MorRyde and my 2018 3791RD had a Roto-Flex and I could tell no difference when towing.

I usually just put an ad on Craigslist. I've sold a sidewinder pin box and several 5th wheel hitches this way. I'm in the Phoenix metro area and stuff like this usually moves in a few months. Would recommend you do your research. Things like hitches and pin boxes can be in several merchandise categories. I typically search the entire Craiglist site for Phoenix for "5th wheel hitch" or "pin box" so you don't miss something when researching for pricing purposes.

We have a 1716 Lippert Pin Box with a Goose Neck Adapter that was on the 5th when we bought it. I want to replace it with either a Reese Goose Box or a Gen Y Goose Box. Any recommendations on which is better.

After the recent letter from Lippert I would go with the Goose Box which it approved by them, the Gen Y might fall under their statement of "Any type of Goose Neck Adaper"

We've had a 2011 model 3000RK. Just purchased a 3120RL from a private seller. Didn't notice until I got home to Idaho from Nevada where we bought the new trailer that the new pin box, Lippert Piviting head, is 5 1/2 inches shorter than the old MorRyde pin box. My TV is a 2015 F350 with a short box. I called Lippert Friday to discuss pin box length. They claim their engineers only approve of the original pin box, or the Reese Goose box. These two trailers are identical in length. Wonder if anyone else has the 3120RL and tows with a short box F350? I'm an engineer, but why in heck would an engineer design a trailer that requires a short pin box, knowing that someone might use something other than a long box truck? Has anyone put a longer box on their 3120 to get a little more space between their truck and trailer?

I have a 2015 3100RL with a Mor/Ryde pin box # RPB72-1116. My Lippert Chassis item is: 361869 & chassis S/N 019-000845787 manufactured 10/22/14. Hope this helps.
