Orlando/Tampa area RV park

Hubby and I are currently in Kissimmee looking for a place to bring the fiver for the winter. Any suggestions? We don't want to spend $1000/month, so only reasonable recommendations, please. We are 55+ and have one 30# blue heeler. 40' Big Sky. Rich and Helen have already suggested Deer Creek and we will be going to check that one out tomorrow. Wouldn't mind a nice RV/mobile home park. We are hoping to have a place picked out before we leave here on Sunday.

Thanks!

Gina

Hi

I used Ponderosa RV Park for a month last year. It is fairly nice but an older park. The drawback is it is next to the Florida Turnpike and if you have issues with traffic noise you would have to negotiate one of the sites that are further away from the road.

Try West View Ridge. Talk to Steve Emmel on the MOC for assistance. We stayed there last winter.
We are considering River Ridge , suggested by Lynn and Pat Bohmer, this winter.

Gina, we stay at River Lodge RV resort in Inglis. It is about 43 miles from Ocala and about 80 miles north of Tampa. They have a large fenced dog run and woods where you can walk your dog. Can walk to the river and canal and about 4 miles from the gulf. A small park with very large sites and friendly staff and guests. No activities. Laundry and heated pool. Rates are $500/month including electric and free Wi-Fi. We love it. This will be our third year.

Thanks guys! We have our list for tomorrow and will be checking these out. Hook - We will be going to West View Ridge, but I can't find a River Ridge. Found a Rolling Ridge that looks pretty good. There are several lots there that we are going to look at tomorrow.

West View Ridge is a great park with a limited dog lot rentals. We love it there but we don't have dogs so those lots are easier to get.
remhobs place sounds like it would be easy to get into.

My mistake, it is River Lodge as recommended by Remhob.
