US 395 in Owens Valley

We saw several Montanas pushing trucks southbound on 395 in the Owens Valley on Friday while we were northbound. They were between Big Pine and Olancha. Had a great time in the Bristlecone Pine country northeast of Big Pine, about 9000 ft altitude.

Sounds great. Glad you got to enjoy the weekend. Spent my time at an altitude of 50 feet.

Hi Bill & Shari;
I more than likey saw your Montana. I work for the phone company out of Bishop and was working the Lone Pine/Olnc area that day. I've seen a lot of Montana's coming up 395 since opening day of fishing season. Our Montana went the other direction after work that night up to Grant lake. The White mountains are a special place, Aren't they?
Best regards
Tim

The Whites are beautiful Tim. Our neighbors (non-Montana owners) just got back from Grant & Silver Lakes a couple days ago, been there since mid-May.
