In Joliet w/o power

We are on our "Maiden Voyage" with our new 2980RL. We were on our way to the Rally and stopped at the Leisure Lake Campground in Joliet. We must have a loose connection where the power cord plugs into the rig. It was turning off and on sporadically and now will not stay on at all. We are on battery power. Since we were going to Goshen for the rally and it is now early Saturday afternoon, does anyone know when Keystone opens? Their customer service number is to a machine. We are in Joliet for a grandson's soccer tourney so will be away from the computer from about 2:30 to 5 or so. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Carol and Jim, If you can get to the Keystone service center on Sunday afternoon or evening, you can park there and be available about 6:00 a.m. when they start checking the rigs there that are waiting for service. Since you're on battery power anyway, you can park there even though the four sites will probably be full as I know other MOCers have appointments. The Service Center is on Hackberry in the south part of Goshen. I forgot the exact address but Steve Reigle has the directions posted under the Fall Rally Section. Good luck! They'll take good care of you, I'm sure.

Carol & Jim,

See ya there, we have an appointment set up for Monday 6 AM, we will arrive Sunday evening late, probably 7 to 8 P.M., as we have to be in Ann Arbor till about 4 P.M. with our twin granddaughters and family. They are gonna bust up the pinata we brought them from the RGV Sunday afternoon.

Carol and Jim;
We had the very same issue with our Mountaineer. We found that the wires were not tightened properly on the plug connections. We simply tightened the loose connections and it now works fine. Simple fix for us and maybe it will help you. Good luck.

You're in the right place, Jim. Glad you arrived safely. We're heading for our "pre-rally" at the Joliet Walmart!

We got to Keystone Sunday afternoon and talked with Darrell in service at 6:00am Monday morning. He took it in and we drove away with the problem fixed AND some other minor repairs by noon. This type of service is where our version of "Happy Campers" comes from. Thanks Forum and thanks Keystone.

It's great to hear from other happy campers. We have had superior service from Keystone and our unit was 6 months out of warranty but they still covered the situation. Glad your problem was fixed easily and we will see everyone Wednesday.
