Keystone Body Parts

Just wondering why Keystone does not carry parts in case you need to have a body shop replace parts. We had our Montana in storage and as we were leaving the had a minor accident with a fence, needed a piece of metal to replace underneath the driver side cargo door, plus the cargo door. My question what do we have to do if we do have accidents, and need parts to repair, so we can be happy with our Montana again. We love our Montana Home on Wheels. At least we don't have to look at the damage every time we enter, since the damage is on the drivers side. Our Insurance company will pay to have it fixed. We are in Kentucky right now and plan to leave our Montana in Arkansas and fly home to Alaska. Plan to fly back in January and drive on down to Florida. We could have had it fixed this week if Keystone would have had what we needed. WE are in an RV park right next to an RV Repair place. Hopefully we can get the parts while in Florda and have the repair work done.

Body parts would be nearly impossible to inventory as Montana makes running changes constantly. Meaning the first 3400 off the line Monday may be different than the last 3400 off the line on Friday. I am sure if your dealer contacts Keystone with your Model and VIN # they will ship him the necessary parts to make the repair.

Just about every part in the camper is a vendor supplied part.I don't think Keystone makes anything they just assemble a camper out of vendor supplied items.

I guess it would be hard for Keystone to carry parts with all the changes they are making with the Montana's. Hopefully there will be a vendor close by so we can have our Montana repaired. We love our 3380RL 2004 Montana manufactured in Feb 2004, and are wondering why they only made it for one year.

Ronnelly, we are one of the few other owners of a 3380 and we love our unit, too. Lots of room for carrying STUFF! I think our unit was discontinued because it was the precursor to the 3400. If they would turn the cupboard at the end of the L-shaped counter towards the kitchen, they'd have a real winner in my thinking. I've seen a similar setup in other brands.

While I think it is true the 3380RL was made just one year, it actually is a longer version of the 3280RL, which was made for several years. I have no idea why it was discontinued. It's an excellent floor plan. We had it's little sister when we had the 2880RL. I would bet its discontinuation had to do with some new floorplans coming out in the same general length.
