Mail in Quartzsite?
Looking ahead to when we might get mail next I was considering General Delivery in Quartzsite. On the one hand since there are so many RVers at Quartzsite in could be a real zoo or they have so much experience that it is very smooth.
Anyone tried General Deliver in Bouse or Parker?
What experiences has anyone had getting mail while at Quartzsite?

Grant,
I have heard horror stories about the general delivery in Quartzsite. We used Parker general delivery....no problems at all.

Never had any problems for last four years now. They have a new PO now.

"Q" has a separate Post Office (out towards the Library) just for General Delivery. We have used it the last three years with no problems. It can get busy during the week of the RV show but it works.

We used the PO last year (the new annex) and it was wonderful. Lines moved quickly and they had at least two clerks working each time we were in to pick up mail. Prior to the new annex being built, yes it was a bad situation. They have made it much easier now.

You may even try general delivery in Earp Ca. It is just across the river from Parker. There are no lines in Earp.

You probably already know this but I'm going to say it anyhow in case someone is not aware. Not all post offices accept general delivery. If you go to the usps website you can put in city name and state and it will tell you which post offices (and the zip code) accept general delivery mail. If you send to general delivery at a non-participating po, I'm not sure if your mail is returned or what happens to it.

According to the info I found on the internet the zip for general delivery in Q is 85346-9999. During the winter months the general delivery, as stated above is sent to the annex on N. Plymouth St. When we were in there last year there were no long lines and things were running smoothly. A good alternate is Bouse which is about 18 miles East on Plamosa Rd. from where MOC will be staying.
