Harbortown RV resort

Has anyone been to this park?
Harbortown RV Resort

I would like to know if you have and how nice it is. It looks really nice from their web site.

Nope, that is a rather new place.

If you are going in with kids, looks like it would be great.

IF, however, you are in the mood for something a bit different than that, you might want to try the Sterling State Park, right on Lake Erie.

We have stayed there. The sites are of reasonable size, concrete pads, grass patios. There is a train track that runs along the north side of the park, and yes the train does run, feeds coal to the power plant near by on Lake Erie. There are a few sites that are seasonal and some of those folks have golf carts. The park is clean and the grass is kept mowed. There is a go kart track there, but it was not in operation while we were there. This is just a few miles from the Sterling State Park. There is a golf course adjacent to the park as well. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again. We stayed there last summer.

Bill n Donna, We personally have not stayed there. But, my wifes cousins have stayed this year for a few months and we went to visit them. My impression was a very nice park and friendly. We were there for a Memorial Day gathering with family, alot of them, and they were very accomadating by not charging extra for the guests. The park is clean. The pool was nice. They allowed them to use the hall free of charge. Nice bathroom and laundry facilities. I would stay there if ever in the area. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the comments!
Sounds like a nice place for a rally to be held sometime!

We have booked there for a week this summer; will be with some friends from out of state. Google maps make it look good as well.

It is close interstate 75 and across the street is an outlet mall not sure how many of the stores are still in bussiness but the last time I drove by there still seamed to be plenty. If yoiu like to fish you will be close to lake Erie and the beach at Sterling state park, You will need to get a pass to enter a Michigan state park not sure of the cost but I believe you can get them by the day, Back to the Question about the park its is a little pricey but a very clean and well kept resort.

Looks like maybe 20 minutes from Toledo, possibly less. We’ve never been there either but looking forward to it this summer.
