lazy susan
We have a 2955rl and it has a lazy susan in the cabinet above the sink. This is really quite useless because everything goes all over the place. Has anyone removed this and replaced it with a solid shelf.

Yes a ton of people have either taken them out and thrown them away or they have built nice shelves to replace the lazy susan. Do a search and there will be alot of discussion on this.

Raymond,
Doug Henry replaced his with wire shelves. Looks really great and he turned the shelf upside down so the lip that is usually on the bottom in on the top to keep things from falling out. Maybe he can post a picture. We saw them at the show and tell at the rally.
Happy trails.................

Yes we have a 2955RL and took out the Lazy Susan (and put in a shelf), also opened up the space above the microwave for a cabinet. Someone else built a nice pantry where the pantry is now, and we are hoping to do that in the future.

yes, we too took out the lazy susan and also filled in the shelves on the bottom cupboard to fill the space. Worked very well.

So far we've kept the lazy susan and put a thin lenght of plexiglass around the inside lip and clothespin it in place when we travel. Keeps everything in place. I'm tempted to take it out and put in the wire shelves, but haven't yet.

I'd like to see this wire shelving. Sounds like a nice project for Chuck.
