Water filter

I’m thinking of mounting my water filter to the side wall inside the wet area and using pex or water lines to connect to the water inlet. Has anyone else done this? If so what kind of filter did you use? My reason is I don’t like the weight of the filter hanging from the water inlet I think it puts unneeded weight on the inlet.

This is how I did it. Two filteres; first for sediment, second is charcoal. I put a bypass system in for changing filters and winterizing; valves on both sides.
