Question Hitch

So I have the PullRite 2400 ISR Series SuperLite 20K fifth wheel hitch in my truck. It has the funnel type receiver with the upside down ball that attaches to the trailer. I’m buying a 2020 Montana that has the road armor pin box. I’ve been told I need a new capture plate. Does the new capture plate that I need to attach to the Montana and then I attach my upside down ball adapter over the capture plate? I just want to make sure I understand what I need and that it will work properly.

Yeah I’m getting conflicting answers when I call PullRite. I have been told I need a new capture plate but have talked to two different people and given two different answers.

I have the Pullrite 2600 and for what I understand that you might need to
get this or something that will keep it from going forward and backward.

By capture plate, do you mean the adapter that attaches the ball to the king pin? I think that would be a question best posed to Pullrite and/or Lippert.

No, I have the adapter (upside down ball) That is used with my PullRite 2400 that attaches to the trailer. It fits into my funnel shaped receiver 5th wheel hitch in my truck. I was told I needed an isolator kit that keeps the road armor pin box from moving too much.

Yes, that will what you might find it a little cheaper on Amazon.

So how do you like your hitch I only tow with mines one time and love it?

This is the set up I have. My trailer is a 2019 and I have the Pull-Rite 20k. My local dealership installed the plate and upside down ball onto my trailer. They never mentioned needing a different piece. However, they don’t sell that particular PR hitch, I purchased it from a different dealer. I’m now wondering if they installed it incorrectly? I read the manual and did not see anything mentioning the additional piece. There is a picture attached
