Furniture Replacement

See many owners say they replaced furniture but not many details on where and what they purchased. Not too concerned about pictures but give some details please. We are wanting to replace before traveling season next year. We are trying to measure and how to place in camper through the door. We can do the research if given some leads. Have visited stores and on internet for hours. Help!! Thanks,

We replaced our theater seats with a real leather one from Babcock home furnishings. Had it about a year now and love it. It fit thru the door of our 3721 and was the same size as the old one.

We ordered from Lambright in Topeka, Indiana. When we went to pick it up, just backed into their shop and they removed our old and installed the new, but they weren't cheap, but made right there in their shop.

BraddandHall.com built our desk for us. We got recliners for our 2010 from a regular furniture store and a large recliner for our HC from Ashley. We'll be replacing our theater seats in our 2017 this winter and again we'll be using a regular furniture store. Like most things, before you shop measure twice.

mhs 4771 Topeka, Indiana sounds interesting! We love traveling in Amish country. Been planning our next trip in September and that may be the ticket. Tour the area and head on up into Michigan. Any details on how to interact with the company and what to expect. Contact information needed.

Another question for everyone is "how to fasten down the furniture" or do you need to??
Thanks,

Any large furniture retailer can help. We have used Lazy Boy and Kanes. Glastop.com makes quality furniture sized for different floor plans.. We have have two ultraleather recliners we ordered three years ago, still looks brand new after three snowbird seasons.

Navybanker, don't expect to just go to Lambright and pickup furniture as they are pretty much build to order. We ordered ours while at our SOB Rally in Shipshewana July of 2019, with plans to pick it up the following July. Well Covid hit and cancelled our 2020 Rally, but we traveled to Shipshewana anyway to pickup our furniture.

Will take you to their Web Site. Ours is not fastened down and doesn't move.

I'll first state that we are not full-timers or long timers. Our pseudo leather sofa and recliners did the onion peel like most of that time frame. We ordered the oatmeal colored fabric sofa from Rec Pro. Shipping was free and they were boxed very well. They are made to come apart and fit through any regular 22-in RV door. Nearly the same size as what came out and have worked well for us for a goodly while.

What’s the approximate cost of a sofa?

I also just posted these pics to a similar thread “Removed the factory recliners…” or something similar. Found these on Amazon…just food for thought - I know nothing about RecPro furniture. The second pic chairs are powered and come in fabric coverings.

Camper has a 22" wide door?? Forgot to measure the door. That appears rather small. Anyone know what the height is? Camper is in storage one hour away.

Removed of the the couches, and bought two Lazy Boy recliners. We have always replaced the so called RV recliners. Good luck with your choice.

Happy trails.

Furniture

La-Z-Boy all the way. Removed the couch and the recliners. Bought a La-Z-Boy "entertainment" seating setup, and two "wall hugging" recliners. Worked out great, and super comfortable. The La-Z-Boy stuff comes apart, so went through the door easy. Have done this for the last three 5th wheels we've had.

We bought a Lane big man's chair for me at a local store after removing our broken down love seat recliner. We the took out a couch in one of our living room slides and replaced it with a Euro style recliner for the Mrs. We both love the big man's chair but are going to replace the Euro with a smaller Lazy Boy for her. We have a 2017 3731FL so we have two slides and a big living area. Put the one couch in storage after taking it apart. We love our set up as full timers!

Hello. I have a 2015 Montana 3850FL and was wondering what to do with replacing one of our fold out couches and replacing with two recliners. What did you do about the step up on the front slide outs, it's uneven with the main floor?

We traded that fiver for a smaller travel trailer. Not sure what you are talking about concerning the "step up". We replaced the two recliners with the RECPRO recliners that come in two pieces and fit together. The recliners were in the slide out. The "sofa" was taken apart and all old furniture went to the dump. We purchased the "jack knife" sofa also from RECPRO. The jack knife replacement needed three "washers" to make it fit. Not really noticeable. Complained to Recpro and they refunded $200 as best as I remember. The new furniture was good. But we traded shortly afterwards.

I’m sorry, I forgot to tag another member who did a remod on their front living room slide.

What did you do about the step up on your front slide out when you changed to a recliners in your front slide out? I have a 3850FL with two foldout couches, but want recliners on one side.

We ordered two power recliners and i jacknife couch from RecPro. We spent about $1200 for all of it. Shipped to our door, packaged well. The pieces fit easily through our door but it is 29". Pieces will definitely fit through a 22" opening. We ordered extra matching material and refinished the dining room chairs with it. The furniture is light weight, easy to assemble. We're not full timers, but the furniture looks to be pretty good quality.
