Pit Stops

While in Quartzsite, we were happy there was a place called "The Pit Stop" where you could dump waste and pick up fresh water. We plan on doing more boondocking and maybe up in the area of Parker. Does anyone know of any other spots that have these services? If so, where?

Al and Nita,
It's not a true PIT STOP but many Flying Js often have dump stations. You can probably get water and there is propane available. Have not really seen any true PIT STOPS like they have at Q. I'm sure they are out there but we just haven't noticed. Good luck and let us know what you find out there, Dennis

Keep your eyes open, as some Interstate rest areas have dump stations, don't know about water.

Thanks Dennis and Michelle for your great ideas. There are so many great places in the West to park the Montana and since we have solar panels and a generator, we figured we'd give it a try. We were parked for a week on BLM land near Joshua Tree and could drive 8 miles to a campground in The Joshua Tree National Park to dump and get water. That was very convenient.

Here are a few web sites to help you find a place to dump (and find water). Finding a dump is usually the more important issue for us. Getting water with the bladder is usually easier as all we need is a hose bib. We don't have to move the RV to the water source.

We just used the Sanidumps site last week to locate a dump station when we were dry camping in Tucson. It worked very well for us.
