Boliy Pro3600SI Generator?

Hi, I did an unsuccessful search for prior posts (I'll confess I'm MOC search challenged) and was unable to find any conversation on these generators. There has been plenty of conversation here and elsewhere on the kipors and hondas but has anyone had experience with this Boliy? I ask as it seems the first I've seen from a size/weight/price perspective to be able to run up to a 15k BTU AC. Almost sounds to good to be true..

I did a lot of research and did include them in the decision chain when I ultimately selected the Kipor. The disadvantages that discounted them for me were two items, the first of which is I decided that I wanted electric start. The other was I read on other forums that there was a frequent misalignment on key parts one of which was the exhaust. Some people had to disassemble their units to make sure the exhaust heat bypassed the plastic enclosure. I would be interested in hearing how they actually perform, but as stated prior my personal decision ended up being hte electric start Kipor.

I own a Honda 2000. We've been very happy with it. Very quiet and fuel efficient. If I decide I want more power I'll get another one and link them. If I were starting from scratch I'd probably get a Honda 3000 or a Yamaha. If you haven't looked at the Yamaha's you should. They are also a very good unit.

Sorry I don't have any experience with the brand you're asking about.

Get the quietest one you can. You and your neighbors will appreciate it.

I own two eu2000i hondas as well with the parallel hook-up which I rarely use and only purchased the second for the purposes of running my 15k btu ac and microwave. I had looked at kipor, honda and yamaha's 3000+/- generators to be able to move to a single one powerfull enough to run the ac/microwave but found the 150lbs+/- a daunting weight. This boliey is noted as weighing 68lbs and size is compairable with the hondas. Is the yamaha you mention in the same weight range? If so can you tell me the model #?? I have a 18,000 yamaha as my home backup and couldn't be happier with it.

The Yamaha that I was thinking of was the 3000 or 3200 or whatever rating they have on it. It is the one comparable with the Honda 3000. It is the weight range of 150#. But you can get the electric start and even remote! They also have a model to compete with the Honda 2000 but I don't recall the model #.

Wow! An 18,000! Now that should run your TV and lights!

How noisy is that model? Diesel or gas? Not that it makes much difference. Do you have it wired permanently?

I like the 2 Honda concept because of the light weight of each unit and of course because they are so quiet and fuel efficient.

Opps... what we actually have is a Yamaha YG6600DC that handles 18,000 watts surge but is only 6,600 watts. Still enough to run the well pump (240) and most of the common electric (120) in the house in a power outage. We use a gentran 12 breaker switch panel and just plug in the generator and flip over to it manually when needed.. I think its about 73dba.

I saw them advertised on E-Bay but cannot find any info on them in the area we live. I am a skeptic of E-Bay and do not like purchasing anything of that value on there. But I would be interested to find out more about them also. So if you find anything please post it here.
