I hope so! We always go. Even when we are not planning on buying. Want to see the new Montana's.
I was looking at the Big Sky dealers that will handle Big Sky, and the closest one is the dealer we bought our Monty from in Texas. "Sisemore" in Amarillo.

Don,
There will be a lot more dealers trying the Big Sky than what is actually shown on the Dealer list. Tarpley in Durango has ordered one to try and will order more once they become more available.

Any reason to believe any of the Montana Dealers will be participating in the show?

My dealership up here in Spokane is handling the Big Sky again. They also had the Cambridge when that was out as well.

I have heard that only one Montana dealer is allowed to each show here...Don't know for sure but seems to be that way. Something about competition. I forgot exactly what I was told.

We are going on Friday the 12th. Going to take the new train. Catch it at Lincoln. Don't have to worry about parking.

It is clear that Del Camino won't have a Big Sky at the show!

We stopped in Sat to measure some windows on a 3400 and asked them if they would have a Big Sky to show. The salesman (wearing a Hitchiker ball cap) all but laughed at me and said they haven't made the Big Sky for several years!

I told him he needs to reasearch his own product sometime, and if he really wants to sell Montanas he needs to know more than I do! Who knows, he might even get a new ball cap.

Sure glad we are dealing with someone else.

Brad

we went to the Denver RV show today instead of Friday. Nice day to go ... hardly no one there. Took the light rail down there and back. No parking or fuss. Nice!!
Del Camino didn't have many Montana there. They had 2 of the 29's and one 3400. Also they had the 3000.
We decided we are waiting until the 2008's come out. But we will go to Texas again where we got our Monty.
Want to see what will be new in 2008.

With regard to where and when Big Sky units will show up at RV Shows, the word I got last week from one of Montana's regional sales managers is that there are only the 3 prototypes at present--one will go to the Tampa show next week, the other two going to other RV shows (he didn't say which ones--other info I got suggested one of those is going to an RV show in Texas, the other to the west coast). The Big Sky plant is now starting to produce Big Sky 340 RLQ units (the other models won't go into production for at least another month), with the first dozen units committed to going to RV shows. It was not my impression that they will be available as early as next week.

As for Big Sky dealerships, I was told that, at this time, only the "top 50 Montana dealers" will be offerred the opportunity to be Big Sky dealers.

Thanks for the update Dusty,

We are going to fight the crowds Saturday unfortunately. From what I read, I see a 2008 Big Sky in the crystal ball for you!

We went to the show yesterday, too. Not many Montanas there, but we wanted to compare our 2006 to the new ones. As expected, no changes other than interior colors. The show seemed smaller to me than in years past. Might be just a perception, though. If you park at the convention center parking lot, be advised that you will have to exit the parking structure and walk about two blocks, so don't leave your coat in the car. It's COLD out there!

Yes I noticed too that the show seemed smaller.
Our dealer in Texas will sell the Big Sky. They are a good dealer on sales and service. They do a through PDI when the trailers come in. But we still do ours.
We will get a new Montana sometime in 2008 but don't know if it will be a Big Sky.
We noticed that a lot of 5th wheels had the TVs missing. That was unusual because they usually have them in there to show. I think the Montana out did all the other 5th wheels unless it was a Mobile Suites we looked at but it cost a lot more and was lot heavier. We will stick to Montana.

Saw something we had never seen before at the RV show.
We saw an electric kitchen range! With the smooth top. We were wondering how that could work in an RV. It was one of those huge truck like RVs. The ones that are huge and very high off the ground. It was very plush inside, and had enormous tires!
We saw a couple of them at an RV park in AZ. But never saw inside of one until we went to show.
Dusty
