Rechargable Flashlight
After coming home from our trip last week, we set the Monty back at the lake where it was but not hook anything up. While down there cleaning the other day, I doubled checked that the switch on the frig was turned off (the one that keeps the condensation away that runs on the battery) and discovered that the rechargable flashlight was ON. I didn't know that it was run on the battery. Thought this might be helpful to anyone boondocking trying to save on the battery usage.

You mean your flashlight works. Wow! Send a message to Keystone that you are one of the few people with a working flashlight. The other 14000 of us out here are still trying to get ours to work.

Mines worked fine for seven years. Guess they don't build 'em like they used to.

Mine works on my 2006 and I posted on another thread how much I love that little touch. I know many people said it's not worth it but I quite honestly love ours, very handy and I'm glad I got one that works! I always take mine out when we leave it in storage to keep from running down the batteries.

Ours works, always has, and we love ours too! Wouldn't be without it without a lot of wailing and thrashing! . Handy, available, AHHHH, nice!

Ours did not work..Actually that was the most major problem on our 3400PDI.The dealer replaced it without question.

Rich,
So I'm assuming the replacement worked? Seems like others haven't had any luck with that either. Things that make you go hmmmmmmm.

I never had any luck with the original or the replacement. I just leave a 5-cell maglite just inside the door. Seems to work pretty good. Marge takes it with her outside even before dark.

Ours works just fine and has since we picked our unit up. The only problem we have is keeping it in the chargine holder so it can charge when not in use. Our 2-year old grandson loves taking it out and using it to help "Papa" troubleshoot a problem!!! It never seems to be put back in the charging holder after he is done.

In attempting to track down the problem..The replacement "flashlight" the dealer took out of stock was a " audiovox" I did not note the brand of the OEM lite. Are we looking at different brands of OEM lites here or a bad batch of a particular brand.. As for us we have flashlights scattered all over the Camper..never know where you may be when the lights go out

It must be a very big batch. Our unit is almost 2 years old and they gave us one new flashlight - not the charger and it doesn't work either. I once read an article that said you should have a flashlight every 5 feet in an RV.
We have one or more in each room. Ours is an audiovox also.
Happy trails...........................

Hummm..one every 5 feet..the inside length of the 3400 has got to be a least 37 feet that would mean we need 7.4 flashlights and I know we have 6 in the camper including the Audiovox..that does work.. Need to come up with 1.4 additional flashlights..

I am so sorry but I just have to respond to this "never know where you may be when the lights go out" - obvious is "you will be in the dark".
This deal about the flashlight is so much fun - I guess it is because it is not a big value thing - yet so many people are having problems.

Somewhere along the way we lost our rechargable flashlight. So my question is a different one. Is a replacement available? We have gotten along quite well without it, but I do hate to see the holder empty.

David and Shirley - I'll send you mine as we really believe it is the charger not the flashlight.

Oh..guess what..we do have 7 flashlights on board..I have one of those like a coal miners lights that you strap around your head.Used it one time at night and my fellow campers were pointing and laughing at me so I never used it again.. Anybody need a good HEADlight.
