Eastbank Campground (COE) Lake Seminole

Anyone ever stayed at Eastbank Campground on the GA/FL/AL border? Looks really nice, but I think the location shown in ReserveAmerica is messed up.

Craig, I don't know about that specific campground but I've seen several COE campgrounds in AL and GA and they are all very nice. I doubt that you could go wrong.

Thanks for the info. On the RV.Net forum I'm getting some comments about ants and other bugs, but it's probably folx from the Arctic North where bugs freeze in the winter. It's amazing to me how positive this forum is compared to others.

Craig, we do have fire ants in the southeast, but, guess what, we live with them. They don't discourage us from going anywhere. Their mounds are usually very obvious so it's easy to avoid them. I've never had any in the camper. They bite when their mound is disturbed and the bites do hurt. Some folks spring powdered bug poison around the parts of their camper that touch the ground. This is probably overkill. Be sure to bring along some good mosquito repellent.

Craig, being from the Sunshine state you should be very well aware of the fire ants and love bug situation. I am sure you have figured out how to contain them at home and the GA, FL, AL border should be no different. Here in Clearwater I spread ant killer under and around the rig and the entire site twice in six months and can honestly say I have no problems.
This is our 4th winter in Florida and it is uncanny how many Florida Snowbirds love to complain about the bug situation in Florida. They seem to forget the flies, horse flies, deer flies, black flies, aircraft size mosquitoes and the list goes on that they left behind up north.

Craig,
We have stayed at that campground several times, and have enjoyed every trip. It's a typical COE campground with large spaces and a very nice view of the lake. I think you'll like it.
