Air beds

We have a friend who's new to RVing and ask if there was anyone we know who replaced their mattress with a good quality air bed, not the sleep number bed, just a good quality air bed. I told her we didn't know anyone just off hand, but I knew where I could ask a goodly number of folks. Thanks for the help!

Yep, we replaced our original deluxe (?) mattress with a Sensorpedic air mattress purchased at Lowes. I think the cost was around $75 on sale and no regrets! It sleeps almost as good as our Sleep Number at home and I would buy again. Another plus, it saves weight.

I have night sweats, so sleeping on an air mattress, no matter how comfortable and/or expensive/fancy, is not my cup of tea, since these mattresses don't have the "breatheability" of box spring or coil mattress.

Having said that, we do have an air mattress in our Montana's couch, and although I have not yet ever been banished to sleeping on it, we've had family members who have and claim it was the best air mattress they've ever slept on.
