Refrigerator on Inverter

I have a 2018 HC 345RL with a residential refrigerator. Even when I am on shore power I have to have the inverter on to operate the refrigerator. The last competitor unit I had once I plugged into shore power I could turn off the inverter. Is this normal for this unit ?
The tech couldn't get it to turn on until he turned the inverter back on so that is what he told me. I just thought I would ask if this is normal.

I'm thinking that switch is the on/off for power leaving the inverter, whether the AC power is just passing through or if the inverter is actually making AC from the batteries. What happens if you turn off power to your rig, does the inverter continue to power the fridge? Do you have a manual for the inverter? What brand and model is the inverter?

When power is on to rig, the inverter has to be on. When the power is off to rig the inverter will still power refrigerator.
I have a Magnum Dimensions CSW Series inverter. I do not know the exact model number because the unit is in the shop for other defects.
I do have a manual for it. I took all the info out of unit before it went back.

Not so. When my unit is hooked up to shore power I turn my inverter off. It has a pass thru switch built in that allows this. If the shore power goes off I have to go out and push a button to start the inverter

That is the way my other unit worked. I wasn't sure on a Keystone product.
I will contact the dealer and they can check that also while they got it.
Thanks

If you think that the Dealer may be a little less than truthful, contact the manufacturer of the inverter. Most have a number you can contact them.

Just for my own satisfaction I did verify with manufacturer. I contacted the dealer with same info.
