Well, we're back from the first shakedown cruise. Found a few things that need repair. As to your PDI, look for obvious things such as scratches, dings, gouges, etc. Look for misaligned cupboards, doors, shelves, and so on. Make sure ALL doors latch properly. Make sure ALL windows close tight. Run the slides in and out. You'd be surprised what comes out from under them from construction. On the "wood" flooring, look real close in good light for stains, or drippings from construction glue, etc. Also check for sloppy caulking, especially inside, around cabinets, counters, and so on. They miss a lot of cleanup, and the clear silicone is hard to see unless you look real close. Make sure they remove all the stickers you don't want on the rig. Some of that glue can be a pain to get off. Make sure all outside latches and locks work freely. Open and close the awnings. A friend of ours bought one and when they opened the awning, a 1/4 of it had pulled loose from the retainer on the body. Check underneath to see if there is anything hanging loose. These are some of the major items I'd look for. As far as operation of equipment goes, that is just something you will have to test out on your first outing. Plan on one trip back to the dealer to get any major items that you find taken care of. If you are handy, then you can take care of a lot yourself.
