Log me out
I guess you will have to log me out of the Montana Forum.
We bought a Motor Home.
We owned two Montanas and had no trouble to speak of with the first and more that you can imagine with the second, and 99% of our complaints were related to the Alko-Kober axles. But that isn't why we traded.
We have known for some time that as we got older, the trailer would be more of a hassel but I was still able to handle it pretty good.
Barb hates the lack of a kitchen in the Motor Home and continually mentions the large island kitchen that she gave up in the 3295.
You have no idea how wide a 102" motor home is until you get behind the wheel. But I am learning and we really enjoy the comforts. Since 1966 we have had about 20 different RVs and with the exception of a little class C, all have been trailers and 5th wheels.
Surprisingly, the insurance will be less for the motor home and toad than the Montana and the F-250. License were $30, so if we beat the property tax, we will be home free.
I have enjoyed the forum and still think the Montana is a good trailer, especially since I understand that they have switched to Dexter axles.
Happy trails to everyone and maybe we will see you on the road.
Barb & Neil
