Demco/B&W Companion Swap

I recently sold my Demco 18K autoslide and picked up the new B&W Companion for OEM puck system on Saturday. I'm curious from the Ford guys what height setting your pivot arms are at and how much bed rail clearance do you have from the 5ver. Thanks.

The B&W height setting is pretty much dependent on what suspension your truck is equipped with. Some, even the F350 have a 2" suspension block while others the more common 4". Also dependent on the spring pack - 2,3 or 4 plus the overload leaf. For my signature 2011 with the heaviest suspension (3 plus overload, 12,000 based on part numbers) and 2" block, I'm in the middle setting and have 6+ inches of bed rail clearance and trailer level.

I guess what I'm saying is that you need to do a trial and error setup using your truck and 5er. I'm also aware that 2015 bed sides are higher then a 2011 in a 4x4 truck

I have mine on the setting that puts the B&W at its lowest position. I have 6-7" of bed-trailer clearance and my truck and trailer sit level. I do have a 2" lift on the my truck w/ a extreme set of camper springs that keeps it level when hitched. I usually have a 2" rake unloaded. The F450s are a different than the F350 SRW in height so you basically have to experiment when loaded up to get the hitch and pinbox setup correctly. Each vehicle is different.
