We don't have any until July so we're keeping our fingers crossed, that's provided it clears enough that we can ever leave Florida. Was planning on mid May, but might be mid June now, who knows.

Out here in New Mexico suposedly all campgrounds have been told to reduce occupency to half. At the same time State and Federal campgrounds are closed.

We are in the same boat. Our Park here in St Pete FL is open, due to leave 15 April. Campground reservations for 15 April (FL), 16 April (SC) and 17 April (NC) are good, telephone contacts with each yesterday indicated all are open at the moment. We are pretty isolated in Lake Gaston, and are thinking we are better off here for an extra month or two then at home, but no decision yet, just watching the news.

This situation points to the need for a home base for FTers. I expect to see a land rush in the weeks and months ahead to popular seasonal areas. for eg... AZ in winter, MT in summer. Just reading the tea leaves.

That is why we do what we do. We live in three different 5ers and a long term lease on a house in central Mexico. Our “home base” is a new mobile suites we bought last year. Parked permanently in Central Texas. #2 is permanent on 10 acres we own in the mountains outside Ruidoso NM. Our third was a Montana in our storage here in Texas. We consigned it when we headed to Mexico in November. It sold the first week we were there.
Now searching for another “traveling” rig. Probably a new 3121 RL.
Only problem now is that we aren’t supposed to go back to Mexico, nor do we want to yet. Ruidoso has publicized hat they don’t want the “second homeowners” coming as they cannot take the pressure. So we are stuck in the rain here in central Tx for a while...
Hope everyone is safe and healthy.

We cancelled our weekend reservations for May through Aug already. Keeping our annual October trip to Gulf Shores open still.

Six months ago we planned a long weekend at Calico Ghost Town in Barstow, Ca. We planned to take the 5th wheel and do some desert exploring and four wheeling. Alas, we received the same email notice that San Bernardino County was continuing their closure of all county regional parks and campgrounds. There is no set date to re-open their parks and campgrounds. O, well ....

Try Newberry Mountain RV park. They are about 20 miles east of Barstow. It is a private park. Nothing special but safe and near where you wanted to go. The folks are friendly and the cost is reasonable. Barstow is an armpit of a place to be anyway.

I got a call from my campground in florida this morning.

I forgot to pay my rent due on the first of the month!

I was embarrassed and quickly paid it online.

Lots of stuff going on right now, I just completely forgot it.

We returned safely from our Winter residence in Florida yesterday. The Montana is hooked up here at home and it will stay here all summer or longer if necessary.
