disc brakes

this past weekend i took my montana out for the first time since converting to disc brake electric/hydraulic 300 miles and it was like night and day from electric brake. My controller with electric was at 5.0 and had to bring it down to 2.5 with the disc you can feel the power of the disc i'm so glad i did the conversion

You'll be even happier the first time some jerk pulls out in front of you and stops. Disc Brakes have saved us a few times in our travels.

We were within two miles of MorRyde, after installation, when a women in a little red car pulled out directly in front of us, panicked when she did see us and stopped dead. There was a truck in the lane next to us and I though we were going right thru her. Stopped with a couple of feet to spare and no tire smoke. Never spent that kind of money and had it proved out so fast. i wouldn't be surprised if her seat needed a wash, however

Chris ... money and expertise of installation is involved in a disk brake conversion. Yes they are rotors and brake pads similar to you car. All the OEM brake hardware is stripped off the ends of the axles and the parts for the disk brakes as well as rotors are installed. Brake lines are fabbed and run from near you front compartment to feed the calipers. A controller/pump is mounted in your front compartment or main storage area to supply fluid pressure to make it work.

Since the Disc brakes add 40% more breaking therefore more torque on each axle. I also added the MorRyde Independent Suspension. Just my money spent. Each cost about the same price.

Approx 3K if done by Mor/ryde, approx 5.5K to 6K to go all the way with IS and Disc.

Usually you can get a deal from MorRyde at the National Rally that saves a good piece of the cost.
