I guess someone would like it. It was built as a wow unit and it works as that’s but not something I would like.

Well they wasted that money. Nobody in their right mind would buy that and IF they did good luck reselling if necessary.

It’s probably not a waste of money. They used it to develop new ideas like pro type cars. They don’t plan to build them just show off new ideas. To be honest I wouldn’t drag that thing home. But then I’m not their target market. I’m way too practical.

As already noted, way too dark, you'd have to turn all the lights on to see anything. A shoe closet, three fire places...I wouldn't have it.

She did not address how well some of that fancy stuff travels on a pitted rough interstate. The misting fireplaces?

As she said multiple times, much of it is impractical. Sorta like a 10”-12” lifted truck with hugely oversized wheels and tires and large exhaust stacks coming up out of the bed. But how many if those do you see on the road? Someone seeking attention.

I am with all of you. This thing is the darkest ugliest thing I have ever seen!!! But then I like to wood work and can't stand paint of any color on a wood surface. Give me stain any day over paint.

And to use the gold trim like they did in excess just looks gaudy rather than sophisticated. Nearly anyone knows you use gold trim in moderation.

It reminds me of the "spaceship" looking (gray plastic looking laminate interior) Horizon Class A that a dealer offered us a "special deal" on because it had been sitting on the lot for over a year. I took one look and said yeah I can see why YUCK!!

The designer of the pictured rig on this thread, to me has zero taste and I told her as much without realizing who she was at the time. I am sure anyone who knows me isn't surprised at that. Her response was I was too OLD to be her target audience! I responded back that her young target audience could not afford what would be a very expensive unit!!

I do have to admit that the idea of heavier duty appliances has its appeal though. As does the water vapor long bar fire feature and the bar features. But not enough to make up for the awful color choices. Seriously a green couch with black interior??

But the worst mistake of all would have to be the terrible living room layout with a low hung projection TV. That means you could never sit comfortably and watch TV. At best you would be sitting looking sideways at the TV or using a mirror to watch it from the chairs that are in front of the screen. A first grader could have designed that better!

What Thor needs to do is have a committee of about a dozen or so full timers come in and design a unit!! Now that would most likely be something really spectacular! But hiring these so called professional designers usually ends up with something that only appeals to a very limited clientele.

Wow, it's only a concept build not build for sale as a future line of Keystone 5th wheels. You have seen concept cars in magazines or on-line which can look crazy but never meant for public sale. It's fun to see what could be done to a 5th wheel but it's not practical for use. Cut her some slack.

This is the second time this video has been on the forum. It did not get so much negative attention before. Maybe the virus is impacting a lot of us?

While it is true that concept models come out in all sorts of forms. I think it is a real good idea for us to give feedback on them to the manufacturers such that they know what the real world thinks of the ideas presented! If you don't do that then the next thing you know, they will in fact be producing units with the concept ideas. Case in point that black paint would most likely be a lot cheaper to produce compared to natural stained wood. I'm not against them producing a few models with different trim and such but it would be awful if they went with everything some of these designers come up with!

On the other hand I really would like to see what a concept built by actual full time owners would look like!! And more importantly what features it would have. Come on Thor/Keystone how about an owner designed concept model!!

They talked about this a lot at the 2019 national rally; I also saw it fueling in Quartzsite; very black. A lot of interesting concepts. The see through fireplace is interesting; wonder if it has a privacy curtain?

I’ve noticed this over the years. When a discussion starts out one way it rarely changes. Most people either agree or don’t post.
