We are at Panama City Fl., the diesel fuel has gone crazy here. The price is $2.69+ a gal. It has gone up $.20 a gal. the past month.
What are the prices around the country averaging now?

Here diesel is a bargain at 1.02 per litre. gas is now 1.07 per litre.
This works out to about 3.40 per US gal in US money for the diesel. I carry over 450 litres of gas so a complete fill up costs me over 450.00

$2.89 in Paradise, Ca. for diesel, $3.15 gas. First time in many years that diesel has been cheaper than gas.

I was in Salt Lake City a few weeks ago and diesel was hitting $2.89--I expect it will continue to go up--go to keep those oil exec's in the high salary bracket!

Back here in the Dayton Ohio area, about $2.69 a gallon. $.20 to $.30 a gallon higher that unleaded regular! Yep, now that we are starting to move around, it is going back up!

I just hope you can hold that price for another month! Our diesel is at $2.75 and we always found prices much higher in Florida than here. So this is a switch to have it lower there.
In spite of my hopes, I really do not believe you can hold it down for another month!

I tried to wait it out, hoping the prices would drop down again, but I had to fill up yesterday. I found diesel for $2.69.9 per gallon. It runs about $279.9 on average, but have seen it for $2.89.9 in some area's. Boy, I sure do miss the gas wars they used to have when I first started driving. I remember once, getting gas for 5 cents a gallon. Talk about the good ole days, definitely long gone.

I agree with Rich. In fact I was going to post almost verbatim ($3.00+ coming). With summer coming and brainless idiots overseas, I don't see prices coming down anytime soon... Just when I'm getting ready for a 1400 mile trip...
*On Edit~ Saw a Shell here in Central FL yesterday - $2.99 This was on a main hwy near a major population center, not some back, out-of-the-way little town.

Try Checking out www.motortrend.com/gasprices
It gives the daily pump prices at stations based on credit card usage. You need to know the county that you are in.I find it fairly accurate locally. Local diesel price in Arroyo Grande ,Ca.is $3.05 this morning.Prices locally vary from $3.05-$3.29.Bill

$2.859 for diesel $3.139 to $3.329 for unleaded. $.15 to $.20 drop in diesel and a $.10 rise in unleaded in the last week here in Central California.
