New Montana Owner

Hello!

My family picked up our new 2024 Montana High Country 377FL last week, just two weeks after picking up our new 2024 Ford F-350 SRW CCLB 6.7L. We are so excited to get this year of camping started!

I am curious from the community what modifications we should be looking at for this floorplan and model. I've already changed to a Reese Goosebox, and added a Haloview rear camera to the back.

Welcome to the MOC. Before you get to involved with upgrades, I'd suggest you ring out your rig. Also what package did you get? My suggestion depend on what came on the trailer. The first things I'd recommend is,
  • Tires
  • Suspension
  • Disk brakes
  • Lithium batteries
  • Duel fuel generator
  • More solar panels
  • Winegard gateway
  • Dimmable puck lights
  • TPMS system
  • Power management
  • Water pressure regulator
  • Slide skis
  • Upgraded mattress or topper
  • Water filtration
So many more things. Again depends on what came with the trailer and how you plan to use it.

Welcome to the forums and congrats on getting your 377FL.

I have the 375FL, which is the prior version of the 377FL. It does not have the loft, everything else is pretty much identical.

Here's one thing you REALLY need to do to that model, and that is, reinforce the closet that runs across the back end. Put extra supports under the cloths rack. I promise you, that closet bar WILL collapse the first hard bump the trailer takes.

Here's a couple photos how I fixed mine (after it collapsed 3 different times and after 3 different attempts to simply re-secure it to the wall. Nope, those screws are screwed into Styrofoam.

Good luck. Ours collapsed on it's maiden voyage. What a mess, clothes all over the floor and nothing to screw the shelf back up with. The entire shelf collapsed.

But, my final fix has held up now for 5 years. No more issues there.

Good luck. Enjoy. Happy Camping!

Thanks for the list. We got the Kingston interior decor, 400i solar, 12V fridge, and free standing dinette.

Oh wow! I'll have to look out for a poorly designed rear closet. I might pre-emptively put in side supports as you did. Thanks!

If you haven't done yet, consider signing up for the Fall Rally in Goshen. It's a great way make friends with fellow Montana owners, learn a lot and have fun!

Welcome to MOC. Enjoy your new camper and truck. I just last week picked up a new F150. I can’t believe what these new trucks cost.

Too bad school starts earlier that week, it looks like fun! I couldn't decipher if families are invited, or if you can come just for the weekend.
