question for new 3685 owners

was wondering if they did any upgrade for the front door latch on the 2005's. on my 2004 the latch is "L" shaped and it sucks! have broken it once...almost broke it about 10 times...and in the wind it bends under pressure. I was thinking of replacing it with a metal one then I thought how much damage would it do if it didn't have some give.

the biggest problem I have is the door isn't open flush to the camper the way I was used to so when the latch is on I have a tendency to pull the door closed even when latched.
