Hi , Thinking of taking southern route through New Mexico from Roswell to Las Cruses on 380 through mountains.Is this road camper friendly and what to expect for weather Dec 1. Thanks

We did this last year about the first of Dec. We pull a 36ft montana with an F350 6.7.
the road is not a problem, a little curvy but no real issues, it had snowed a day or two earlier but was well plowed and we had no problems. You should be fine unless the weather is really horrible.

We much prefer to go south thru Carlsbad and take 54 to I-10 at El Paso.

We took that route 2 weeks ago pulling 35’ fifth wheels. Beautiful and easily done
