De-winterization

When do most of you start to drain the pink stuff and flush the lines? I drained all the pink stuff out last weekend and we are heading out in two weeks.
Living in Oklahoma I know the weather can change in an instant. We can be 80 one day and 25 the next. So thank goodness for the low point drains!

Being at 4200'+ elevation in central Oregon, we don't drain the "pink stuff" until we are ready to take off in the spring. Our weather changes in an instant also - case in point - yesterday it was sunny and warm; at this moment we are having a snow "downpour" and things are getting white again. Temps can go below freezing in a heartbeat. We'll be taking off sometime during the first part of April and will flush the lines a day or so before we pull out.

I'm at 6300' here and I'm thinking real serious about draining the pink stuff. It's been 60's here lately and it might be 70 early next week, problem is our weather can change quickly too and March is usually our snowiest month. Of course the rest of our year we don't usually get 6' of snow so maybe we're done here.

Ozzie,

I have relatives in MN and WI and I know it's been bad for you lately. BUT we got all your dang weather earlier this year so it's payback! Seriously there was a time where I thought I'd never see the ground again for all the snow, and that's not familiar territory for us here. Hang in there buddy, it'll warm up soon. I'm thinking of heading that way this summer for a visit but not sure yet.

Hehe...it's been just awful here lately...but temps in the 50's for next week and we'll all have puddles in our yards. I'm getting the itch real bad and have been doing some modding during the warm stretches.
I still can't put the LCD in the rig yet because of the temps - and now my wife is getting spoiled having it in our bedroom at home.

It's really nice up here in the summer...if you do come this way maybe we could share a cold one...or three.

When we left WI last yr we didn't dewinterize until we got to the first city we could camp at. This yr left Jan 4 and didn't dewinterize until the 3rd night out in Deming, NM. We are now in Midland, TX and will be heading out WED to go to granddaughter's B-Day party back in WI. We will be lving the Monty along the way in Arkansas and I will winterize to be on the safe side. Cheap insurance. We will then dewinterize when we get back to Arkansas and head to Florida.

Mac: Got mine figured out and fixed it; no parts like they said. Shakedown at Chatfield soon, Horsetooth Memorial day, Chatfield 8 days in July, (daughter's wedding, extra motel), Big Mac first week of August. Want to get into Mueller this year. Working on the rest.
