Wet Bolt Kit

Today I pulled a wheel and brake drum off to check the brakes to see if they need replaced. and they did. I have the brakes on order from etrailer.com. I am going with the 7000lb self adjusting kit that includes the backing plate, magnet, shoes and shoe mounting hardware. While I was under there, I saw the spring hangers were badly worn. If I am going to have to replace the hangers, I would prefer to go with a wet bolt. The trailer is a 2007 Montana Mountaineer 342PHT with 6000lb (I think) Dexter axles. Does anyone have a part number and a good source for the wet bolt kit??

I think the part number is

MOR/ryde UO12016 Heavy Duty Shackle Kit

but would like to be sure before I drop $100, well $93.

Measure your spring shackle center to center of bolt hole distance ... measure your spring eye width ... call Dexter for the part number ... order from ETrailer or Trailer Parts Superstore.

I installed a wet bolt kit on my Mountaineer and still have the box. He is correct, # on box is U012-016. Ordered mine from Tweetys.

Thank you, gentlemen.

I am glad I am parked at my sister's place. She allows working on your vehicles, unlike RV parks.

And if you look on the backside and center of an axle you will find the axle rating and serial number, ie, 6000xxxxxxx or 6500xxxxx or 7000xxxxxxx, etc. The morryde wet bolt upgrade kit is LRE12-001 if you have the morryde lre suspension. Go to www.morryde.com and you will find the wet bolt kits and complete instructions. Tele is 866-990-7433. John
