Question Furnace Wiring schematics needed.....

I have a 2008 3585 SA (10th Annv. Ltd Edition) Montana.

Recently the mice/rats got to the furnace wire and had a 'hay-day'. Now I am trying to re-wire the furnace back.

All that I know is: The thermostat has a grey 'phone cord' plugged into it. The furnace itself, has a red and a white wire coming from it. What is left of the wires.

What? Where? How? do they connect?! So lost. I can not find the end of the grey 'phone cord' to connect the Furnace Red and White wires. Help me please before I go insane.

Can you grab the model number of the furnace off of the unit? It's likely possible to find the wiring specs online with the right number.

In the Files section of the Forum (look in the second, thin, brown bar near the top of the page) are two manuals for your Atwood 8535 furnace:
A PDF for the furnace https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...?do=file&id=26
AND
A Training Manual with lots of good information:https://www.montanaowners.com/forums...?do=file&id=54

Both want me to click on "Allow" to download yet there is no "Allow". Two different URLs but similar behavior?

I did find this service manual...pdf. This might be a repeat of what Carl has as well. But there is wiring info in it.

Wiring diagram for your 2008 8500 series furnace

First image shows furnace control board.. Four wires .. two will be BLUE and are the SIGNAL wires to the AC control board up on your roof.. Zone 1 AC.. these wires are PLUS and MINUS and same color

Other two wires are typically RED and YELLOW.. Red is 12 volts Dc source to run the control board, blower motor, etc..

Second image shows where the two BLUE Signal wires run from furnace up to roof AC control board and connect

The telephone cable runs from thermostat to roof AC control board to send signal to AC unit and furnace
