SeaLand toilet cleaning tool
Dometic is including a cleaning tool with new toilets. It is plastic and about the size of a tongue depressor with a rough end similar to Velcro. According to the instructions, it is used to clean the seal around the flush ball. There has a lot of discussion about how to clean the seal, so I thought I would post this, hope it helps.
At bottom of instruction page is Dometic's assistance # 1-800-321-9886.

I bought a tool at a Del Rey Campstore in Corpus Christi in December. It has a handle, a 6-8 inch 1/8 inch rod bent at a 90 degree angle with a flat blunt end.
Heat a flat blade screw driver about 1 inch from the end and bend it at 90 degrees perpendicular to the flat part and you have a tool, and not plastic.

I use a toilet bottle brush - works great! When the toilet starts to leak, I use the bottle brush to clean the seal and no more problems. I also have the special tool but have never used it.

So far, just pressing the pedal down, sliding foot off pedal, letting pedal slap closed resoundling three or four times has solved that problem for us every time.

The round toilet brush pushed down in the hole and rotated while the pedal is released has worked well for us.

That's a good idea. I assume you're talking about the standard aftermarket toilet cleaning brush?
It's good to know there's a tool available in case nothing else works, though. Nailbender, thanks for posting that.

I replaced my old plastic toilet 2 years ago with the Sea land porcelain toilet like comes in the new units and a cleaning tool came in the box with it.
I have never needed it so far. It always seals.
