Request for Your Tips or Tricks

2) Slow Down - You have 3 years to see everything! (And if you miss something.....add a 4th year!)
3) Relax and enjoy yourself!

Make sure you have a plan for medical, mail, and have as many recurring bills on autopay as you can.

Don't let anyone interrupt or distract you while you are:

• Getting the 5er hitched to the truck, your truck's bed rails and tailgate are expensive to get fixed.
• Un-hitching the 5er from the truck, don't forget to put the tailgate down before moving the truck.
• Filling the fresh water tank. (shut off the water supply once the fresh tank gauge light indicates tank is full, don't wait for water to gush out of the tank vent hole.) p.s. the fresh tank indicator light is most likely the only accurate one of all of the tanks, black and gray tank sensors are notorious for not being accurate.

Translation....make and use a check list. Use it step by step, or do all your items, then read the check list to see that you got them all.

Thanks TLightning. I did make a check list (75 items) and we do intend to check everything on the list. Don is a prior fighter pilot, so a pre-flight check is a normal routine.

X2 on the interruptions a few years ago I had a guy that would not stop talking while I was unhooking a 5ver we owned back then, I was so distracted that I did something that still to this day I can't believe I pulled away without lowering my tailgate . Not a life changing event but I have a system in place when hooking up and unhooking. And it's so easy to be distracted by someone talking to you. My wife and I are like a well oiled machine when hooking are unhooking. So now when someone interrupts I kindly say we will be glad to talk after were done

I started using Blurb print on demand service in 2007 to publish a book on our 4 month Alaska trip. Yes--It is a real book. Since that time I have published 8 other books. It sure beats looking at photos on a computer. And it is straight forward to do. Keep a Trip Journal in Word and keep your photos in small files that cover 3-5 days each.

Make sure husband and spouse can do all duties. I was happy I knew how to hitch and unhitch and drive when Bill had a hospital stay. The same goes for the normal stuff the wife does. Bill had to do that when I shattered my heel.
