3910FB black tank not draining

Ok, I was suspensions that my rear black tank was not emptying and I have confirmed that. Before we were not using the half bath but a couple times and I just thought maybe there wasn't enough in it to drain much. Yesterday I went to dump and it didn't seem like I got anything out of the 2nd black tank and when I got home I looked down in the toilet and looks like my tank is about half full. Valve pulls easy, but must not be opening.

Question is, where is the valve located in relation to my valve handles for the 2nd black and gray tanks?

These handles are not in the convience center but about 3 feet back in a separate compartment with a small door. How hard is it to drop that section of the under belly?

One other thing to check. The handle labled black tank may not be the black tank. Mine and many others have been mislabled and the handel labled Grey tank was the black tank. I had to re lable mine. others spray paint there handles grey and black.

My galley grey tank handle is about a foot from the outlet valve. Cutting a little flap in the plastic bottom should allow you to see what is going on. Reseal flap with gorilla tape. John

Thanks guys, I'm pretty sure that even if the handles are mis labeled, that the black tank isn't draining. Being as I had all 4 valves pulled when I dumped and the back black tank still has waste in it. I will just have to pull down part of the underbelly and look at the valves. Ughhh

I dumped my black tank today and noticed that it is still registering 3/4 full on the gauge right after it was dumped. I also dumped both grey tanks and they say empty on the gauge. Is their a sensor that could be bad on the black tank ? Any recommendations ? I have a 2015 montana 3611 RL . Thanks

As has been discussed many times on the forum, the OEM black tank sensors are practically useless. The black tank flush will sometimes clean them off, but not always. There are other more reliable add-on sensors but most of us just establish a dumping schedule and stick to it and ignore the gauges.

I have dropped the front underbelly on mine and it was easy. Back underbelly would be a lot more work because of the axles, a gas line running left to right, the spare tire connector and a fresh water drain. I would find out exactly where that valve is in relation to the pull and cut a hole in the underbelly. The valve should be in direct line to the pull handle since a rod and not a cable. By the way, dealer replaced our upstairs gray and black flush valves and cables on our 3910FB as Keystone installed the wrong ones, and installed them wrong as well. Hopefully they did not do the same to you.

Thanks Mike and everyone. I will work on this issue this weekend and I will report back my findings. I realize it is under warranty, but don't trust local dealer and don't want to be without it for a month.

Andy, maybe you have the "pyramid of doom" happening in your black tank. Have you tried running a snake up the drain pipe to see if the valve is actually closed. If it is open, you have a blockage. That's when things get exciting..lol

Excellent point. That is how we discovered the upstairs blank tank flush valve was slowly leaking, leaving a continuing pile that eventually caused a total blockage.
