Tim,

Looks like you're a new member so, Welcome!! Sorry to hear about the smoke coming out of your electronics. Is this a generator you have used before? Does it have a 120V and 240V setting? If so, was it set to 240V? Give us a little more info and maybe we can help you out.

Tim, welcome to the forum. Others will come along to help you with the problem. But I did want to welcome you and you definitely have a problem needing your attention. Happy RVing...

Dick and Bev, I see you are new also. May I offer a little help. I think you wanted to start a new topic rather than responding to this question by Tim. If so click on the "New topic" sign rather than the "reply to topic". Then I think you will have a better chance of getting your issue addressed.

A big welcome to both of our new posters. Thanks so much for jumping right in with a question. We all have them but often new members don't participate right away.

Our TV's smoked when they accidently got plugged into a 240V setting. Be sure to look for other damage as we also lost our microwave and other electrical elements.

The furnace remote is a touchy issue and has been discussed at great lengths. If you use the search engine at the top of the page, you will be able to access a lot of information on this topic. People are replacing it with the Comfort Control Center. The search engine is just above the IN/OUT box where you sign in.

I hope your future posts with be under happier topics.

Welcome to the forum. That's what we did--replace it with a new confort control.

Thank you al so much for the welcome. I did plug the camper into 120volt. I took the generator to get checked and they said the gov. might have been stuck when ir first started. We keep the camper parked full time in the mountains of West Virginia and wondering what kinds of problems to expect this spring.
