Civil War Battle Sites

Friday, we are leaving Michigan and heading east. We will spend some time in Amish country in southeast Ohio and then cross the Ohio River at Wheeling, WV. We will then amble on to Gettysburg for a few days. We have been there several times but see something different every time we go. Then we plan on spending Labor Day in Gordonsville, VA, while visiting Battle Sites in Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania and The Wilderness. We are then hoping to mosey on to Johnstown, PA, the site of the late 1800s flood and then on to Goshen for the rally. We may then take the Lake Michigan route up western Michigan to see the fall colors in NW Michigan. This will be our last venture until right after Christmas, when we plan on traveling to Texas and Arizona. This is a mighty ambitious plan but we have discovered that plans are made to be changed. Anyone having any suggestions for this route will be read with extreme interest.

We are leaving Wednesday for Ohio, then down to North Carolina, then up to Virginia and Pa. Might just pass you somewhere on the road.
