Safety Issue Suggestion

Vicki and our granddaughter recently got themselves locked (don't ask!) in the front bedroom closet and found there is no way to open the doors from the inside when latched. I think you can see the dangers here. Perhaps you could look into providing some method of egress when the doors are closed and latched?

I have decided that when we are not traveling you just close the closet with the opposite door...you don't need them fastened if you are not traveling down the road. They still shut flush, they just don't fasten.

Rex & Mary, believe it or not, we do the same thing with the doors, mostly to save wear and tear on the latches. But I guess from the other side of the closet doors, with clothes hanging the length of the rod, it must look different. I don't know exactly how it happened, maybe Vicki closed one door and Nora the other and suddenly it was too late!
