Pin Holes in Alum Wheels

The factory replaced one of my alum wheels that had a pin hole in it last December. Just had another wheel show up with a pin hole. Has anyone else had this problem they are on a 04 Big Sky.

birdie, Sorry to hear about your Aluminum wheels. We have a Cambridge and we had two Aluminum wheels go bad. The first had a 2" crack and the second had a small hole. If we hadn't had the Pressure Pro system I'm sure we would have had a the tire's blow out due to low air pressure. Most all tire failure is cause by low air pressure. After the second wheel failure we replaced all our wheels with Alcoa Aluminum wheels. If your wheels are Tredit Aluminum wheels, I would replace them now. Good Luck..GBY...

Birdie: A number of us have had to get our rims replaced because of cracks. There is a thread back a ways on this subject but I can tell you that right now Mike and Wendy (Indiana) are trying to get theirs replaced right now. They also have an 04 Big Sky. Drop them an email.
Off the top of my head I know for sure that Ormie and Ginnett and ourselves Bill and Ann both have 04 Big Skys and have had ours replaced by Keystone @ n/c.

Our 04 Big Sky had the problem with pin holes. So did our Cambridge. The Cambridge wheels were changed out under warranty and so far so good. In both cases the pin holes showed up after hitting small chuck holes at very low speed.

Thanks for all the info on the wheels had searched for pin holes and found nothing. Will try searching for cracks. Keystone replace the first one at no charge have yet to contact them about the second one. I was just curious if this was a problem with the wheels. Replaced it with a steel wheel till we get home only about 1500 miles to go.
