Storm and Trees AGAIN!!!

We had a heck of a storm here in Northeast PA on the evening of July 3. We were not at home, thankfully, but camping in Ocean City MD. On the morning of July 4, I received several phone calls telling me that several trees had come down in our yard. You may remember my experience with this in July of 2012 (http://www.montanaowners.com/forums/...ad.php?t=50368) when a similar storm wiped out 40+ trees from our property and did a job on the roof of our previous Montana.

We had two remaining trees left in the yard from that storm. Well, one was blown down (just to the left of Judy's arm) and another split landing in the camper parking spot. It was not a very big limb being about 8 inches at the base and about 4 inches about 15 feet up but large enough to put a potential hurting on the new Montana if it were there. I am having the remaining part of the tree removed before I return it to its parking space.

Mother Nature has a tendency to keep one on their toes! You guys were lucky by being at Ocean City this last weekend and not having the Monte on it's pad. Glad you got things taken care of and hopefully the tree situation around the Monte is taken care of now. Time to get ahold of the Dept. of Agriculture and see if you can get some trees to replace those you lost last year. Take care and be safe!

Glad you weren't there for the event and saved this Monty! It's been that kind of summer in a lot of places. We lost two trees and the shade for our Monty this year and the town has lost enough limbs and trees that I have to restack the towns burn pile every Monday with a front end loader. It's a problem because there is so much green stuff in the pile it's going to be a while before the town can burn and new stuff from another severe storm arrives weekly.
