The Sound of Silence
The whoosh, whoosh, whoosh of the El Cheapo ceiling fan is gone. I bought a 44" 5 blade Hunter fan at Lowe's yesterday and installed it this morning. Even on high speed there is no vibration or noise and moves considerable more air. The old one was so bad that running it at night was not an option because of the noise.

We haven't had any problem with ours. Seems to run quietly.

Ditto on Bill and Ann. Glad you found a good solution. Bill, I like your unit. HMMMMM.... Wonder why?

I will agree with Stiles, I really like the Big Sky paint job. Hope someday Keystone will make that an option on the Montana.

The paint was one of the selling points on my Monty, as well. No problems with my ceiling fan... SHHHH whisper quiet, even while watching TV.

We haven't had any noise, but did have the screws fall out. Didn't realize what happened at first. If it happens again, a little blue loctite will be in store.

Mine is quiet as long as it is on low. The two higher speeds result in a squeak. Finding loose screws are on the to-do list.... Hasn't been hot enough to get enough priority yet.

We went through TWO of those nasty fans, our replacement came from Lowe's as well. The replacement that the dealer put in was even noisier than the first and was hung like a pretzel. Don't miss that horrid nasty grinding deafening noise at all! The new one is QUIET!

Must be some inconsistent build quality involved. Ours is nice and quiet at all speeds. It does have a very slight wobble at high speed but not on medium and low.
