Need an exterior 12 volt power source

I need an exterior 12 volt power source for a LED light I want to add. I want to add a sign with our name to the outside by the door and have it lit up at night. Anyone tried to add power that has an idea what I can do? Is there a way to tap into the power in the awning arm? I saw something like I want at a dealer a year or so ago but at the time didn't think to look or ask how they did it.

Before anyone could give you a valid answer, you need to go to the header above and click on the UserCP and add your trailer and truck info so everyone knows what rig you have. Without that info, everyone would just be shooting in the dark. I have some ideas, but they might not apply to your rig, so I won't post them just yet.

I would buy a weatherproof 12 v outlet (google it), drill a hole in the outside wall and mount it where you want it, and run a wire with an in-line fuse direct to one of the auto reset breakers in the front compartment.
