Cleaning air condition filter

I have ducted air in my 2019 3930fb 5er. I'm getting ready to clean my filters. I have two in bedroom and two in living room. Do the covers pry off? Is there any suggestions on the easiest way to accomplish this job. Thanks in advance Bill

On our 2017 there are two small openings on one side of the filter cover. Insert a screw driver or similar object and pry down lightly and the whole thing will come out. I replaced the orgiginal filters with ones I cut from window AC filter material I bought a Walmart. Made two sets so I can wash one set and while they're drying use the others.

Biker - I can get mine off by simply applying finger pressure - sort of the way you might do with a screwdriver. Those grills are generally rectangular in shape - the release tabs are on both sides of the long dimension of the rectangle. I push on one side and the grill is soft enough plastic that it will arch enough to pull that side down. They pop back in once you get the filter material spread out in the right spot.
