ODS Slide Scratching Floor

I have a 2014 3610 and have had very few issues with it. We basically live in it and travel during the summer. Last week we were returning home to Fl and when we extended the ODS slide, we saw that it put 2 scratches, about 6" long each, in the floor in front of the refrigerator. We had to bring in the slides again for traveling and when we extended them, we saw another scratch. Has anyone else had an experience like this?

The Rv may have been very out of level side to side when the slides came in or they just came out of adjustment.yes we had that problem with our 06 3400. Slide had to be adjusted.

You may have something under the slide. Maybe some small rocke or screws?

My 2012 left a scratch also. Camping World told me it was a long slide bar which used to be wider in older models and more solid. The one in mine is extruded metal kind of upside down "U" shaped and over time, the "U" is flattening allowing the slide to lower and scratch. I personally did not look at the part and am forwarding their results. They said it was about $800-1000 to fix. I put an old piece of vinyl where the slide rides over and will see about fixing after hunting season.

Some folks have also found nails, staples or screws working loose on the bottom side and causing that.

I have heard that the screws holding dining tables are too long. Is the fridge anchored to the floor as well?

Since a new issue, I would think adjustment or something caught under the slide. You sound like a seasoned traveler so would think leveling not as issue.

We had a small stone caught under the slide and it ripped the vinyl floor. We had them adjust the slide to provide a little more clearance although I haven't noticed any difference in the amount of clearance. We now vacuum and sweep under the slide to ensure no stones get underneath.

Ours certainly runs close to the floor and we always thought it wouldn't take much debree to cause a scratch.

Before we run ours in we usually use the vacuum and crevice tool before operating the slide.

The slides will tip out at the top when going around a curve that is a little tighter than you thought it was like getting on an Interstate or a country road that you are unfamiliar with. I had one tip out far enough that the dogs dish went under it.

There is a point when the slide is about half way out that it is balanced so you can push it out at the top and have someone look under it to see if there is something under it that would cause your problem.

Our 3611 started that and the dealer is going to check it as they are repairing our lightning damage. I'll report back what they find. It does seem that it is mainly on this floor plan. I had noticed that as the slide extends, the bottom goes out initially much farther than the top. JT.

my 2015 3582 had a nail/ staple work out and made a gouge in the floor
I had to get the slide just right and worked the nail out. Now to find a fix for the scratched floor. good luck

I have also had similar issues, look for rocks, screws etc. Good luck and happy roads to you.

The screws holding the Kitchen table were too long on mine and cut the flooring. It was under warranty so it was replaced and they shortened all four of the screws holding the table down

Got ours back from the shop today, and it was the old protruding nail trick that was scratching ours.

If there is carpet,the glue may be rubbing on floor. Mine had this but he dealer caught it.

Thanks everyone for your input. Rig is always level when slides go out or come in. I'll try and get something thin to sweep under the fridge to see if anything is under it. For now, I'm going to find a piece of vinyl to put in place to eliminate further damage to the floor.
