Keystone"s Site: line up of Fifthwheels

On the new site I see they have the Challenger, Everest, Montana then the Mountineer ...Just wondering if Challenger is number one then? I do like the fiberglass goose neck caps that will provide added protection from water spray during transit. The shower looks like that of the Big Sky. It looks like the water pump is up front in its own compartment too.

Last spring, when I was researching Montanas and Keystone in general, I called them and here's what they gave me as the order of quality pecking order:

1. Montana/Everest
2. Mountaineer/Challenger
3. Cougar/Laredo/Outback
4. The rest

This is the same info I rec'd from a dealer recently. That is the pecking order of features/price from them.

I haven't look at the site, but are the different products listed alphabetically, starting with the Challenger?

OMO but we saw some Everest units at a sports show earlier this month and they didn't impress us - we felt they were a step below the Montanas.

Member in our Good Sams club bought an 05 everest. I took a tour of it. Seemed like
a nice unit. Had a built in Ice maker under the back side of the sink (Door side kitchen). DIdnt see that in a Monty but that would be cool .

An '05 Challenger 29RKP (rear kitchen) is what we just sold, to get our new '07 3500RL Montana. The Challenger was our 4th 5er and we loved it. It was the first new trailer that we bought that never had to be brought back to the dealer for anything. It was a great trailer, but we found that floor plan didn't work for us. I found I even had more storage underneath than my new Montana. It also had a 110 outlet and Sat outlet (that my new one doesn't) in the under storage on the awning side, so I could hook up my TV outside, pretty easy, for watching sports. I can see they are popular, but not near as much as Montana's. I see Montana's EVERYWHERE! (on the Central Coast of California anyway)

Ross,

You must have just missed by a month or so - Our Montana has the 110VAC, 12VDC and TV jack in the basement by the awning side. Manufactured 01/12/07

Bert -

Old list now - need to add the Big Sky at the top!

Have been trying to get on keystone site all day, but it seems to be down? I can go anywhere else on the net, no problem. Any one else having this problem with Keystone today?

You have to hit the bar at the top of your browser if requested, and let it load Adobe Flash.

I don't know if it is related or not, but I have tried calling Keystone/Montana several times today and could not get through. The receptionist said they were having serious phone issues and only some calls were actually able to be transfered to their destinations. Dunno, but maybe techincal issues all around?

You're probably right. With all the weather woes they have had back there, I wouldn't be surprised. Boy have the folks in the Mid West been getting hammered.

Brad, Yep, my 3500RL was made in 9/06. I'm gonna have my electrician buddy wire it up for me, so I'll have SAT and 110 again. Sure was nice having that set-up.
