Outdoor Propane Grill

Need suggestions of what type of Outdoor Grill works best. Anybody have experience with a Coleman Grill?

thanks for starting this post. We have the very small propane Weber grill (old) it it does not put out enough heat for me. Items seem to bake more than broil, looking for one with more btu's. Don't know about the Coleman. Plan an internet search.

I have the Weber Q...both sizes.
They have nice heavy grates, good burner control, and even work in a good breeze. Also capable of searing meat and making an awesome steak.

I just used mine instead of my larger grill at home in sub zero temps and it still turned out great food.
Now if it could only do a rotisserie chicken, I'd be in hog heaven...
I may take another look at the larger one to see if I can mod it.

I have the Weber Q, really like it and it fits perfectly on the sliding tray in the basement.

We have a Coleman "RoadTrip", 9949 series. It cooks real well. It has folding scissor style legs that become wheels on one end and handle on the other end. It takes a one pound propane canister or you can get a connection & 12' hose and run off your 30 pound propane tanks.(that's what I did) We like it. It is a little bit to big, but I store it up in the front storage area. I have seen some smaller Weber grills that I may switch to someday. If you look close, you can see the little red thing in front of the Monte.

I also have the baby Q.It was a Christmas present to me.

I was also looking at a really nice "roll" up table that "Camping World" sells. When stored it rools up and goes in a bag like the camping chairs. The 2 reviews on this table are very good.Might be a nice thing to have to set the grill on while cooking.

I didn't like the coleman. It was too hard to keep clean. We just bought on of the small grills with the 2 pound propane cylinder. There are several brands.

I am very pleased with our Baby Q. I carry it in the basement storage area and have an adapter (available from Camping World) to run it off the house propane bottle so I don't have to worry about running out of the little bottle and carrying a spare. Works great.

We love our Coleman Roadtrip and have no issues keeping it clean. We got all the options and can use it as a grill, griddle, or stove top. Purs is the original Blue one with the folding legs (no wheels) but the storage case we got does have wheels. We also got an adapter and hose so we can use the tanks on our Mountaineer so we dont have to mess with carrying the small tanks.

We have the Coleman Road Trip and have no problem with cleaning either, but there is more than one model. We got the one with cast iron covered in porcelain, which cleans up nicely. It also came with an interchangeable burner, so we can grill or cook on the griddle or even boil water to make our omelets in a bag.

We also have the Weber Q. I bought the wire cheap (not inexpensive) roll-around stand. Not too sturdy but does the job (the stand). I like the BBQ and would buy it again for the Monty uses. I don't think I would go for the Baby Q due to its BTU rating.

We also received the Weber Q grill for Christmas and just love it. We found a small, folding table (25"x18") at Camping World that works perfectly to set the grill on and neither takes up much room in the storage area.

I had a really nice grill, the problem with it was only one burner.
I would suggest a two burner, one side a griddle, a removable roll around base with storage 'cubby hole', a light built into the handle, and a paper towel holder. A Thermos dual burner grill 2 Go.
Such as the one I bought ...... From Camping World.
It's really nice to have the light right on the burner at night.

We have the Red Road Trip Coleman and man, it is really a pain to clean. I store mine in the basement and the last thing I want is that "old grease" odor working its way into the bedroom so we keep its use to a minumum, only use it when we can't use the Webber charcoal grill because of burn bans, etc.

Last year we purchased the Coleman table top that looks like their stove. Folds nicely and easy to clean. Drawbacks, of course, propane and a little smaller cooking surface.I have only been able to get 4 steaks on at a time, not good when you have 6 people wanting to sit down to eat at the same time! I have a small folding table, accordian style, that I use, both of which take up little room in basement. If anyone would be worried about odors, try keeping the grill in a large trash bag, works for me. But then again, I store mine clean and that probably helps a lot! Oh, Ozz, I forgot, I like the liqiud incentive on the right side of your grill, makes you want to cook ALL night!

We have the Q for camping and the full size at home. Love them both, would never have any other brand. The big one is 14yrs old and we can still get parts when needed. Ozzie, we bought a rotisserie from weber for our full size model, best chickens, cornish hens and roasts in the neighborhood!
