Back from New England

Hi everyone! We just returned from our short New England excursion. We had one fantastically beautiful day and the others were ok. The leaves on the trees were already showing their bright and vibrant colors.
We also met Wayne (captbanjo, MOC-1269) and Cathy Morrison for the first time. Two very wonderful people. We found that Wayne is quite a fine musician with a beautiful voice. He entertained us one evening with guitar and blue grass. Wayne origionally recommended the Danforth Campground to us. It's located near Freedom, NH. It's an absolutely beautiful place to stay. There's not a bad site in the whole camp. Lots of forest, a lake, seclusion....and has all the hook-ups we require (WSE, cable and internet). We are certainly planning to go back next year.

scrowba,
.....with snorkle and flippers!
No! Actually, the weather wasn't too bad where we camped. In fact, Wednesday was an absolutely beautiful day. Plenty of sunshine and temps in the high 60s to low 70s. Most of the bad weather was to the south of us. we ran into the worst weather upon our return home, when we stayed in Mystic, Connecticut. It rained cats and dogs...and elephants.

Hey Rudi. Nice to have met your family and you. You're right...we sure lucked out with the New Hampshire weather. It did force us to leave one day early on Sat. instead of Sun. but overall we hit it right in the middle between two serious rain storms. Glad to have played the geetar and banjo for you guys...hard to get an audience at the campgrounds this late in the New England season. Maybe we'll run into you again at some point. Enjoy that new rig of yours and nice job on the wine rack!
