Changing Surround Speakers

In our 2011 model 3150, the surround speakers are located behind you when you watch TV. The speakers only work when watching a DVD. Has anyone attempted to remove or relocate them?

The speakers WILL work with the TV on ... refer to your manual but generally, you need to change the source on the DVD/Receiver to "D.IN" and the speaker setting "PLII" to "matrix". Alternately, you can hit the menu button on the TV remote and scroll down to "Media Play" (5 down arrow pushes) then a right arrow/a down arrow/another right arrow/another down arrow and finally another right arrow. Wow, my remote finger is tired .... good luck!

Gee, now there's an idea. Read the manual.

We had the same issue in our new 3150 until I found the correct setting on the receiver and now beautiful surround sound.
