funny taisting & smeling drinking water

Has any body noticed their water having a Plastic smell and Sorta foamy after the trailer set for a week or so while in storage. I must let the water run for about 2 or 3 min before it clears up. normally I will have the in line filter hooked up but on the last camp out I thought it was the filter going bad so I didn't use it last time, but today I was doiny some work on the trailer and got some water for the dog and it did the same thing with the water and there was only the water that was in the tank, let it run for 2 or 3 mon and it cleared up again. is there a way to drain the pipes when I store it I have a 2980RL, 2004 if any comments. Thanks.
